The Emerging Black Leaders Symposiums at Tufts has been able to bring speakers from several different perspectives to talk about the issues relating to our theme. We will challenge the status quo and invite our audience to analyze their own assumptions about Black identity. The Emerging Black Leaders reach out to all members of the Tufts community, high schools, undergraduate students, graduate students, and individuals from the greater Boston area. We believe that having a diverse audience is essential to extending dialogue, but also creating alliances so that the dialogue is transformed into action. We encourage all who are interested to get involved in the planning process of this symposium for it is with your collaborative effort that the symposium will be both effective and successful.
